Spring is also a good time to check cubbies for extra clothes, make sure that the clothes in the cubbies are weather appropriate in case we need them. If you have not seen a teacher about sunscreen, please be sure you do. We are starting to put sunscreen on before we go outside. As always, if you ever have any questions, please feel free to ask at any time.

As summer is winding down we are trying to enjoy the weather by splashing it up with some water play! We have changed our water play day to Friday mornings; please bring a swim suit, a towel, and water shoes. We have been learning all about the circus, and the ocean. Soon we will be discussing outer space and the big move to our new classroom. We had a wonderful time on our field trip to Walk About Acres and hope to have many future trips planned soon!
We have added a few new friends to our group. We have happily welcomed Evie and Lucy and we have gotten along great! Everyone will be transitioning starting at the end of the month! Ms. Katie has also joined our classroom as a co-teacher! She is fantastic and going to be an awesome new friend.

We had some awesome times during June. The Lords & Ladies are definitely enjoying water play. We will continue water play through the summer on Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings. Each time, we will have different fun activities planned for the kids to enjoy.
With the temps rising, now is a good time to check your child’s cubby for weather appropriate spare clothes. Shoes are also a big deal this time of year. Flip flops and sandals often get loose gravel or tire chips in them as we play. Tennis shoes are always the best shoes for running, jumping, and simply being a kid.
During June, our class has had many changes. Lara moved away. Bridget and Ainsley moved to the Squires. Ashley moved up from the Jesters. Madeline, Miles, and Dhruv also joined our class. We will also welcome Lucy this month. We are all so excited to get to know each one of them.
In observance of Independence Day, the Academy will be closed July 4th.The Annual Academy picnic will be held August 16th at our East location.

May was an amazing month full of sunshine and sunblock! We have been working very hard on a structured, organized way of life and everyone has responded wonderfully! We have been discussing safety and kindness as well as sharing and working together! We have been busy learning about pizza, frogs, turtles, and other messy subjects! We continue to work with different art mediums and incorporate constructive gross motor activities that work on strengthening our growing bodies! Yoga has become a new favorite among the Lords and Ladies. We are finishing up the month with parent/teacher conferences and are excited to leap into summer!
We want to be sure to prepare for the summer heat so please be sure to have your sunscreen form turned in! Also, outside shoes and summer appropriate clothing should be in each child’s cubby in case we need it. We are excited for the sunshine!
June will hopefully bring brighter sunshine to prepare for our fantastic summer! We will be having weekly water play days. We will post signs when they have been planned!
