Weekly Themes:

Week of the Young Child themes are:

Music Monday, Taco Tuesday, Work Together Wednesday, Artsy Thursday, and Family Friday. We will be doing activities with these themes. If you have any recycled items for Monday, please bring some in so that we can make instruments. Recycled items can be paper towel cardboard, Kleenex boxes, plastic bottles…etc.

March Recap

March was full of fun times here in the Pages room. We were dinosaurs, welcomed Spring, had a blast playing with plastic eggs, and enjoyed going outside more!

We want to say thank you to the parents for bringing in plastic eggs for the class egg hunt, the children had a blast! We want to say welcome to Jackson and Jacquelyn to our class!

Sunscreen:

If you have not brought sunscreen to school yet please bring as soon as possible. We ask that you don’t bring in aerosol sprays.

Important Information

Please check your child’s folder for artwork and important paperwork nightly.

We also want to say thank you for helping keep our infant/toddler rooms clean by taking off your shoes!

Pages Newsletter East: December 2015

November Recap:

Thank you to all the parents/family members who could join us at our Thanksgiving Feast. We are so grateful that you have chosen us to take care of your precious child(ren). This month Reese, Orion, Lucy, and L.J. joined the Pages classroom. We are learning and having so much fun! Sena and Henry have moved up to the Jesters this month and are having so much fun exploring and learning!

Classroom News:

Gavin and Wyatt will be moving up to the Jesters classroom with Ms. Emily. We will miss you! We want to welcome our new friend Neera, to the Pages classroom! We are going to have so much fun learning!

With the weather changing, please bring in some warm extra clothes, hats, mittens, etc. for your child’s comfort, as we continue gross motor activity outside year round.

Pages Newsletter East: August 2014

Our friend Lillyann has moved up to the Jesters and is having a great time with her new friends and Ms. Emily.  We have welcomed Zoie Rose to our class.  We are having fun showing her all the things we know how to do.  We still have an all girl class!In July we learned about stars and stripes, bugs, love birds, the zoo, and dinosaurs! We learned so many new words and signs. Very smart little girls!

We will be studying art, colors, our five senses, and musician Laurie Berkner.We have many fun activities planned for our friends to explore, play, and learn about during this month!

If your child has a book or toy they would like to bring and share with the class that is related to our weekly topic, please do so.  We will use the item from home during group time and storytime.  Thank you Rory for bringing in a book about the zoo.  We loved looking at the animals. Thank you for sharing!

Just a reminder, we spend a lot of time outside in the mornings.  Please apply sunscreen to your child in the morning or let us know so we can keep their skin protected.

Pages Newsletter East: July 2014

June Recap:

Our friend Ryder has moved up to the Jesters and is having a great time with his new friends and Ms. Emily.  We have welcomed Elise and Carys to our class.  We are having fun showing them  all the things we know how to do.  We now have an all girl class!In June we learned aboutthe circus, fathers, our favorite things, and Summer!  Thank you parents for joining us for Donuts with Dad.  The kids had a great time sharing a special breakfast with their loved ones.  We also want to thank you for your participation in our favorites week.  It was so nice to learn each child’s favorite things and to share them with their friends.

April Recap:

Our friend Samuel has moved up to the Jesters and is having a great time with his new friends and Ms. Emily.  We have welcomed Ava to our class.  We are having fun showing her all the things we know how to do.

Thank you parents for bringing snacks and eggs to our Spring Party.  We had a great time enjoying our snack and hunting for eggs outside.

In April we learned about bugs, birds, bunnies, eggs, and a musician study of Laurie Berkner.  We also celebrated the Week of the Young Child and enjoyed fun activities to honor our children during their special week.

May in the Pages

We will be studying  Mothers, Sesame Street, babies, and colors. We have many fun activities planned for our friends to explore, play, and learn about during this month!

If your child has a book or toy they would like to bring and share with the class that is related to our weekly topic, please do so.  We will use the item from home during group time and storytime. 

This month we will be celebrating Mothers with Muffins with Mom.  Please join your child for a moment at drop off to share a snack.  We also will be having parent teacher conferences this month.  A sign-up sheet is on our door.  Please pick the time that works best for you.  We are excited to share with you all the things your child has been learning and show you their portfolio.

We will be studying bugs, birds, musician study of Laurie Berkner, bunnies and eggs. We have many fun activities planned for our friends to explore, play, and learn about during this month!

If your child has a book or toy they would like to bring and share with the class that is related to our weekly topic, please do so.  We will use the item from home during group time and storytime. 

We will have many fun activities centerwide for the Week of the Young Child including; ice cream sundaes, dress up pictures with parents, dress silly for the day,  a medieval feast, and a picnic.  We look forward to a fun filled week as we honor our children.

Pages Newsletter East: March 2014

We will be studying author Dr. Seuss, the ocean, our five senses, and spring. We have many fun activities planned for our friends to explore, play, and learn during this month!

We will be honoring Dr. Seuss center wide in March for his birthday.  We have themed days and activities planned to help us celebrate.  More information will be posted so we can all join in on the fun!

Pages Newsletter East: February 2014

January Recap:

Thank you parents for bringing in baby pictures for our baby unit!  The children loved looking at their pictures and sharing them with their friends.  It’s amazing how much they have grown.  Pictures are in your child’s cubbie to take home.

Rory  has joined our class from the Pixies!  We have had fun showing her our classroom and all the fun things we do in the Pages room.

In January we learned about babies, people around the world, transportation, and author study of Bernette Ford.

February in the Pages

We will be studying farm animals, Valentine’s Day, shapes, and jobs. We have many fun activities planned for our friends to explore, play with, and learn during this month!

If your child has a book or toy they would like to bring and share with the class that is related to our weekly topic, please do so.  We will use the item from home during group time and storytime. 

February 14th , Valentine’s Day, we will be celebrating with “Sweets with your sweetie”.  Please join your child from 700-9 am and have a snack.  What a great start to the day!

Pages Newsletter East: January 2013

Thank you parents for joining us for the Nutcracker production. It was a lot of work and all the children did great!  We also had a chance to gather for our holiday party.  Thanks for sending snacks, gifts, and joining us.  We appreciate all you do!
