Play, Make Their Day, Be There, and Choose Your Attitude

Last month our staff enjoyed a great training on the Fish Philosophy.  The movement started when the founder of Chart House Learning noticed how energetic and seemingly happy the fishmongers managed to stay at a Seattle fish market.  Our job is WAY more fun than slinging cold, wet, fish (though we do need to hold our noses sometimes.)  The four concepts we are reminding ourselves to bring to the classroom can help us as parents and spouses at home as well.  We explored the advantages of remembering to Play, Make Their Day, Be There, and Choose Your Attitude.  At home these components can make us better listeners who are fully present in the moment and are not afraid to giggle along with our amazing children.
