Pixies Newsletter East: April 2013

We had a fun month and are now noticing the signs of spring. We are looking forward to yellow daffodils blooming around the school, green grass, and trees with buds on them. We can’t wait to be able to talk to the children about the different things outdoors as we take many stroller rides and walks, as well as play on the equipment outside.

During the week of April 15th-19th we will be celebrating the week of the young child. We will have a special event each day this week. On Monday we will enjoy ice cream sundaes, on Tuesday parents will have the opportunity to plant seeds with their children, on Wednesday parents will be invited to read a book to their children’s class, on Thursday we will have a medieval feast, and on Friday we will have a picnic outside! Please let us know if you will be available to read a book to our class, we know the children would love it! Also, as the weather warms up and more days are becoming hot and sunny we ask that you please bring sunscreen in for your children. We love to take advantage of the beautiful weather by taking the children out to play often. If you would like to provide a sun-hat for your children those are welcome as well..
