Lords & Ladies Newsletter East: December 2012

We have had lots of fun topics in the month of November that the children have enjoyed. We have learned about turkeys, Thanksgiving, and reviewed our shapes. We are starting to incorporate some sign language into our circle time with colors and letters of the alphabet. As the holidays approach us, we will be diving into some fun holiday themed lessons that the children will definitely enjoy.  Ms. Molly has had her babies.  We miss her and know she will be back.  While she is gone, Ms. Heaven will be helping us in the classroom.   We had a great time at the Academy feast.  Thanks to all of our families who were able to make it.

Home Toys

We appreciate all of our families helping us to keep home toys away from the classroom.  It helps our kids use the school toys more and cuts down on distractions. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Using the Potty

Many of our friends are showing great interest in using the potty.  We are very excited to be a part of this process with all of you.  We ask that as your child begins to use underwear, you try sending them already in underwear in the mornings.  This helps us spend more time teaching.  We are using potty charts and we do give 2 M & M’s for pooping in the potty.  Please see Ms. Ginnie if you have any questions.

Cubby Check

As the weather turns colder, we would appreciate if you would check your child’s cubby for weather appropriate clothing.  Also, please mark names on clothes as they sometimes get mixed up.  Please remember that we try to go outside every day, so please send in a jacket, hat, and mittens with name on them for outdoor play.
