Holiday Travel and Guests

With the holidays nearing, it is important to make a plan for your expectations of your child’s behavior. When visiting others, or having guests to your home, it is important to do what we as parents need to do with every other situation. Tell your child what you expect in advance, give them a reminder in case they forget due to the excitement of the moment, then follow through with the expected consequence if your child does not behave as expected. Being consistent during this often busy and hectic time of year will reduce confusion for your child and hopefully make your holidays a little smoother!
