Lords and Ladies Newsletter East: October 2012

We have had lots of fun topics in the month of September that the children have had fun with. We have collected leaves, stamped ink with apples, learned about modes of transportation and much more. We are starting to incorporate some sign language into our circle time with colors and letters of the alphabet. As the holidays approach us, Ms Ginnie and Ms Molly will be diving into some fun holiday themed lessons that the children will definitely enjoy.

Toys

In the Lords and Ladies class, we have noticed an influx of the amount of toys that are coming into the classroom. Although it is good to learn to share items that are near and dear, it is appreciated if these toys stay at home or left at the door with parents. We are still practicing keeping our hands out of other people’s cubbies and it would be very unfortunate to lose a beloved toy. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

The Lords and Ladies will be going to the pumpkin patch on Tuesday October 23rd. We will be leaving the school promptly at 9:30 am, so please be here by 9:15. Lunch will be made by Ms Zoe and we will be back at the school around 12:30. Please be sure to drop off a 5 pt harness car seat for your child so they can ride the school bus. We encourage parents to join our fun. Please let me know if you need more information.

Potty Progress

We have seen so much wonderful progress in the Lords and Ladies room! Getting your child out of diapers and into underwear is a marvelous achievement and we are happy to be a part of it. Please be sure to keep your child’s clothing in your cubbies stocked and weather appropriate.
