As the summer arrives, many of you are making plans for trips to the pool, parks, vacations, etc. Even with the added activity level it is important to maintain routines where possible. Establishing consistent routines can ward off inappropriate behavior. By maintaining these routines, your child will know what to expect and will be less likely to become upset by not getting their way throughout the day. By doing the same things, in the same order at approximately the same times, your child will know what to expect and will be less likely to challenge particular tasks.
