Pixies Newsletter South: December 2011

Dear Pixies’ parents,

November has flown by! Thanks to everyone who made it for the Thanksgiving Feast and our conferences.   We have many fun things coming up this month, such as our Nutcracker on Tuesday, December 13th at 6:30 p.m. at Jesse Auditorium.  Tickets will be on sale soon.  Remember that your child needs an all-white outfit for this event.  Let us know if you are struggling to find an outfit, as we have several extras from past years.

Be sure to check out the holiday artwork hanging on the walls. The children really enjoy making our projects and are very proud to show off their work.

Cold weather is finally here, so make sure your child has the necessary outerwear for those occasional days when the temperature is high enough for us to venture outside for a little bit.  You are welcome to leave hats, gloves, etc in your child’s cubby.  This is also a great time to check that your child’s extra clothes still fit and are weather-appropriate.

We will say goodbye to several friends this month as they move up to the Pages classroom.  We will welcome Gabriella, Giuliana, Colin, Lauren, and Preston from the Sprites.

Important dates to remember:

13th– Academy Nutcracker performance

14th– Academy Pajama Day!

23 and 26th– Academy CLOSED for Christmas

January 2nd– Academy CLOSED for New Year’s

Have a safe and happy holiday season!

Audrey, Maggie and Anna
