Pixies Newsletter South: September 2011

Dear Pixies’ parents,

August certainly did fly by!  We are hoping for some cooler weather this month.  The children love to be outside and so we will try to spend as much time out as possible before winter sets in.  If you would like to send a jacket to leave here, we would appreciate it. The weather can change very quickly this time of year, so we want to be prepared.  You might also check your child’s extra clothes and make sure they are weather appropriate.

The Academy will have their open house on the 8th from 6:30pm-7:30pm.  This is a time for you to come to your child’s classroom and meet other parents and get to know the teachers better.  We will have an activity to do with the children.  It’s fun to watch how the children interact with one another.

Important dates to remember:

5th—Academy closed in observance of Labor Day

8th—Academy Open House/Back to School Night

We will have students from MU in the classroom this semester.  They are doing their practicum and are observing the children.  It is a great way for them to learn about the Early Childhood field of study.

If you have any concerns or questions about your child or our classroom, please don’t hesitate to ask.
