Pixies Newsletter South: August 2011

Dear Pixies’ parents,

Summer seems to be flying by!  We have had some HOT days, so to beat the heat we’ve taken some early morning stroller rides.  We have also been doing lots of fun activities inside, such as catching bubbles, playing with the Mega Blocks, and reading books, along with our daily project.

The children have been progressing with their sign language.  Most can use “more,” “please,” “all done,” and “thank you.”  We continue to work on “drink,” “eat,” and “help.”  If you are unsure of what a sign looks like, we are always glad to show you so that you can use it at home.

We will continue with water play on Tuesdays as long as the weather cooperates.   During the hot days we have stayed inside to keep cool, but we hope to play in our sprinkler a few more times this summer.

We are happy to welcome Kyleigh from the Sprites classroom this month.

Dates to remember for August:
