Pixies Newsletter South: June 2011

It is hard to believe that another month has flown by!   We would like to thank all the parents who brought goodies for teacher appreciation week.  Everything was wonderful and we appreciated everything!

Dates to remember for June:

19th Father’s Day

21st First day of summer

July 4th-Academy closed in observance of Independence Day

Thank you also for the time that you took to come in for parent/teacher conferences.  It was good to talk to you about your child’s progress and future goals.

We enjoyed many painting activities in May.  Please look around our classroom and check it out if you haven’t already.  The children really enjoy our art activities.

We would like to encourage you to always give your child a spoon to eat with at home.  We understand that some things are easier to pick up with their fingers, but if you always give them a spoon and encourage them to use it, they will find it will get easier and easier to use.

Most all of our class does sign language for “more” and “please”.  We will continue to work on “thank you”, “drink” and “all done”.

If you ever have any questions or concerns about our classroom or your child, please do not hesitate to ask.  Thank you for everything you do as parents!
