Sprites Newsletter East: May 2011

Looking Back:

It is May already! April brought us a lot of rain and some very nice days. I hope you all got to play outside as much as we did. In April we painted eggs, traced our bodies, and rearranged the classroom. Week of the Young Child was great thanks to all the families who could participate. Our class really enjoyed the book Mr. Jordan read us about fingers. We also had a great time hunting for eggs in our classroom!

Important Dates:

May 8th– Mother’s Day

May 6th– Muffins With Mom

May 16th and 20th– Parent Teacher Conferences

May 30th– CLOSED Memorial Day

Looking Ahead:

During the month of May we will be working with singing and reading books. Some of our children are already advanced page-turners. Even the younger children will benefit from feeling and getting acquainted with books. We will be working on a list of songs that we sing at school, so you can add them to your “home list”. We will be having Muffins with Mom celebration on May 6th. Come a bit early to enjoy a muffin and time in your child’s classroom.

If you have extra plastic grocery bags of bibs that your child no longer uses, that you would like to donate to the Sprites classroom, please let Ms. Meghan know!

Have a Great May!

Ms. Meghan, Ms. Courtney and Ms. Cheryl
