April Recap

We had a lot of fun in April! With the weather warming up, we were able to spend a lot more time outside! This gave us great opportunities to notice changes in the trees and the flowers! The drastic changes in temperature throughout the days gave us a great opportunity to discuss hot and cold, and what we wear for these temperatures! In April, we also had a new friend join us in the Pages. It has been great getting to know Joshua! J In April, we also celebrated the “Week of the Young Child.” Each day of the week the Academy did something special. It was great to be able to have the whole school together! We  hope you were able to participate in the activities as well!

Coming Up in May

Throughout the month of May, we will continue to spend as much time outside as we can, paying close attention to the changes in our environment! Planting flowers and sensory experiences will be a main focus of May. Also, we will have a friend moving up to Jesters. The Pixies and Pages will miss you, Aison! Have fun in Jesters! This also means that we will have a new friend joining us soon!

May 23 and 24, we will be having our Parent-Teacher conferences. There will be a sign-up on the door. Please pick a time that works best for you. If you are having trouble with a time, please talk to one of us and we will work something out.

Important May Dates:

  • May 6: Muffins with Mom (7-9am)—Leave a little extra time in the morning and have a quick muffin with your child in appreciation for everything Mothers do! J
  • May 8: Mother’s Day
  • May 8: Aison turns 2! Happy Birthday, Aison! J
  • May 23-24: Parent-Teacher Conferences
  • May 30: Academy Closed in observation of Memorial Day

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to talk to either of us! We would love to help.
