Pixies Newsletter South: April 2011

Warmer weather is here, and we are excited to spend more time outside, either on the playground or on stroller rides when the playground is wet.  We have just finished talking about plants, so our outside time will be a great time for the children to look for different plants.

On the 21st, we are looking forward to our Academy Egg Hunt.  The time will be announced closer to the event, so that you can join us as we hunt for eggs on our playground.  We will provide the eggs, but we are asking parents to bring in a little Easter goody to go in the egg.  Ideas are spring stickers or fun, age-appropriate toys (make sure the items will fit in a standard-size plastic egg).  This is a fun activity that our kids really enjoy.

A note from our new afternoon teacher:  My name is Anna Boggs. I grew up in Halsey, OR with my parents, younger sister and three younger brothers.  After high school, I went to Northwest Nannies Institute for their eight-month childcare program.  I have now lived in Columbia for a month, and I am very excited to be working with the wonderful staff and kids at the Academy.

Important dates in April:

11th-15th Week of the Young Child

21st Academy Egg Hunt

We appreciate all you do as parents.  Feel free to ask any questions that you might have.
