Pixies Newsletter South: November 2010

Dear Pixies’ parents,

October went by so quickly!  We had a good time with all of our Halloween artwork!  Please take a couple of minutes to walk around the classroom and see your child’s work.  This month we will be busy with Thanksgiving fun!

Dates to remember:16th and 17th Parent/teacher conferences (sign-up sheet will be on door)

18th Academy annual Thanksgiving feast during lunch (parents are invited to come and eat a wonderful meal with your child!)

25th & 26th Academy closed for Thanksgiving

December 15th Nutcracker performance at Jesse Auditorium at 6:30

December 21st First day of winter

December 23rd & 24th Academy closed for Christmas

December 31st Academy closed for New Year’s

Our class will be snowflakes in the Nutcracker. We would like the children to wear all white for the performance.  You may want to start looking now for white apparel because sometimes it is hard to find.  We have a few clothing items that parents have donated so if you have trouble finding something, please let us know.

The season for runny noses has started.  If you would like to bring in a box of soft tissues to share with the class, I am sure the children would appreciate it when we wipe their noses.  We would also appreciate it if you could call us and let us know if your child is not going to be here when they are sick.  We will do a care call after 10 am, but do not want to interrupt if you are at the doctor or if your child is sleeping.

We would like to welcome Madison to our class!  She is new to the Academy and she is doing a wonderful job of adjusting to our classroom.  Please help in welcoming her and her family!
