Knights and Maidens Newsletter South: October 2010

Wow, hard to believe October is already here! Guess the old saying’s true; time really does fly by when you’re having FUN! Last month we were busy enjoying learning all about our new friends, ourselves, each other’s families and pets, and we concluded September discussing different kinds of apples and ways of preparing them.  This month, we are excited to learn about fire safety, pumpkins, bats and spiders, and Halloween!

Picture Day!

Our class photo, as well as individual portraits will be taken on Wednesday, October 6th.

We can hardly wait to add two more 4-year-old friends to our class when we wish Olivia a Happy Birthday on October 20th, and celebrate Aaron’s special day on October 25th!

We are SO excited to go on our very first fieldtrip of the school year!  Wednesday, October 13th from 9:30 am -12:30 pm, we will visit the Peach Tree Farms Pumpkin Patch.  Please send your child with a sack lunch and drink.

This year’s MIZZOU Homecoming will take place on Saturday, October 23rd.  We invite everyone to partake in the festivities along with us as the Tigers host Oklahoma.  We will be entering a float in the parade, and anyone is welcome to join.  We can hardly contain our excitement at starting the Halloween high jinks a bit early with our fun-filled Boo Blast from 3:00-6:00 pm on Friday, October 29th.  Information regarding our specific party times will come as the date draws nearer.
